Our employees will not access any personal identifying or financial information within the customer's computer which is outside the scope of the repair without the customer's prior knowledge and consent.
It is our legal responsibility to report any pirated software witnessed during the repair to the appropriate authorities.
We will only perform a repair on a computer that is legally owned by the customer. Only those computers presented to us by the authorities with the appropriate legal order will be examined without the customer's expressed consent. We reserve the right to reject any computer repair whose ownership is suspect. If we suspect a computer brought in for repair is stolen property, it is our legal responsibility to report this suspicion to the appropriate authorities.
Our employees will never copy any personal information, software or files which are outside the scope of the repair without the customer's prior knowledge and consent. All backups of personal information, software or files that are made in the duration of the repair are destroyed before the customer's computer is returned to the customer, unless otherwise directed by the customer. In the event that the customer directs us to back up certain information, only those folders to which our technician is specifically directed will be backed up. We will never, under any circumstance, search customer file folders to find a specific file or file type. To protect both the customer's privacy and our legal responsibility, we rely upon the customer to direct the technician to the exact folder the customer wishes to be backed up.
All new items sold by Your PCMD are covered by a minimum 90 day manufacturer warranty and as such are sold on a return to manufacturer basis and subject to the terms and conditions contained on the manufacturers website.
Your PCMD offers a 30 day (unless otherwise specified) limited warranty on all goods NOT COVERED by the original manufacturers or distributors warranty.
This warranty DOES NOT extend to
Goods altered in ANY way by ANY person(s) other than authorized Manufacturer Technicians
Faults caused by ACT OF NATURE, NEGLIGENCE, IMPROPER USE OR MISUSE
Faults caused by any malfunction or failure resulting from neglect or use of unauthorized parts and accessories, improper voltage, not following proper instructions or acting in breach of any rule, regulation or law.
If parts are purchased from us and there is a fault during the warranty period that is attributable to a manufacturing defect only, the parts are replaced or repaired for the original purchaser only (warranty benefits are not transferable).
For parts found to have manufacturing defects less than 7 days from invoice date, we will replace them from our stock (if available). Parts returned after this time are sent on your behalf at your cost to the manufacturer/distributor to be replaced or repaired.
Turnaround time for warranty claims largely depends on the manufacturers/distributors and is subject to various factors, including the nature of the product, time needed for testing/repairing, spare parts availability, and shipping times. Typically 3 to 6 weeks.
All new Computer Systems NOW come with a 30 day PARTS Warranty, with an option to upgrade to 12 months for $129. (excludes failures caused by software &/or misuse). Labor is billed at a discounted rate of 30%.
All refurbished Computer Systems come with 10 days PARTS Warranty with no extended Warranty options (excludes failures caused by software &/or misuse). Labor is billed at a discounted rate of 30%.
While every effort has been made in our extensive testing, we cannot guarantee that your computer will run all and any software flawlessly. Please refer to the software/game manufacturer.
Software issues such as viruses, trojans, malware, incorrect and conflicting software & drivers are NOT covered under this or any warranty. Please bear in mind that no anti-virus program is 100% safe & secure.
Before calling Your PCMD for service, please make certain that it is a hardware issue. The best way to do this is by reinstalling your operating system. Your PCMD can and will charge full price for service if it is found not to be a Hardware related issue.
As a condition of your warranty. you must use a SURGE PROTECTOR at all times.
We offer a 10 day satisfaction warranty for services and repairs carried out by us. If the issue returns within that period, we will attempt to remedy the problem free of charge so long as it is the same issue. Virus & Malware excluded, see below.
Once repairs are completed, the customer will be notified. Your warranty begins on the day of notification. If your equipment is picked up ten (10) calander days or more after the day of notification, the ten (10) day warranty will be considered expired.
We warrant only for repairs done that are listed on the invoice. The repair warranty is a on-site, carry-in or in-store warranty and we are only obligated to replace or repair the items originally serviced on the invoice. We do not give store credit or refunds.
If our assistance is required after a customer attempted to solve a problem out of their own accord, the repair thereof will not be covered under a warranty.
Your PCMD is not responsible for virus & malware re-infections nor for virus & malware or other computer hardware or software failures that occurred subsequent to any service.
Your PCMD's warranty does not cover any loss of business, profits, or other consequential damage, real or perceived, that may have resulted from any malfunction of the computer system nor does it cover any hardware or software installed by the user.
Warranty coverage will not apply in the event the serial number, unit number or rating label has been removed, altered or defaced. Warranty does not cover damage resulting from failure to back up your data or other files, nor does it cover damage caused by programs, data, viruses or other files. Your PCMD is not responsible for any loss of your data and recommends that the consumer maintains a back-up system at all times to rebuild or reconstruct lost or altered files, data or programs.
Your PCMD makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to services provided by Internet Service Providers. This includes their ability to provide services, their ability to work with our systems, interruption of service, or their ability to sustain such services over extended periods of time. Your PCMD is not affiliated and has no agency relationship with providers of such services and is not responsible for their actions or inactions. Your PCMD makes no representations or warranties, express or implied with respect to Internet retail products or services provided by other companies, or accessibility via its website. Although your computer system may include programs, software or access to certain providers, Your PCMD makes no guarantee of access to providers, programs, software or websites.
This limited warranty does not cover any items in the following categories: software; sound cards, keyboards, mice, printers, speakers, (Collectively 'Accessories'); other external peripherals; accessories or parts added to a computer system by you or Your PCMD. These components may have a warranty from their respective manufacturers.
Virus & Malware Warranty
If we remove any viruses or malware from your system and you are satisfied upon completion of the service, the sale is final. A refund cannot be awarded if you have the malware removed, and subsequently re-infect your system at any time after service is complete. We are not responsible for your PC's protection or users behavior subsequent to such removal. However, if within 72-hours you get reinfected with the same issue, we will attempt to remedy it free of charge for a second and final time.
We provide what we believe is the best removal process at the time of service. There is no 100% protection against these computer threats. Every computer is susceptible to malware due to the nature of computer viruses, malware etc, the complexity of, and how they change on a daily basis, your surfing habits, web sites you visit, downloads, program installs, emails etc. There is no free or paid Anti Virus or Anti Spyware program that is '100% bullet proof'. The best protection for your computer is updated security programs, updated operating system AND MOST IMPORTANT your safe internet surfing habits. Do not be fooled by popup advertisements that look to good to be true, and be cautious about that email or message whom you think actually came from a friend.
Return & Refund Policies
The original sales receipt must accompany all returns. No returns for cash, credit or exchanges will be entertained after seven (7) calendar days from the date of sale, no exceptions. All returns within this return policy will be charged a 20% restocking fee.
Unopened computer hardware and accessory products may be returned up to 7 calendar days from the date of sale. Opened computer hardware and accessory products are considered non-returnable and non-refundable and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.
Unopened current version software products may be returned up to 7 calendar days from the date of sale. There are no refunds or exchanges for opened retail software products or licensed software and manuals.
No refunds on service parts. Defective service parts will be exchanged for a like part only up to 30 calendar days from the date of purchase. After 30 calendar days from the date of purchase, defective service parts will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty, if any.
Reconditioned or refurbished items
All reconditioned, refurbished or used items are sold as is, no refunds, no credit, and no exchange is available.

Any product from which the UPC code has been removed from the product or its packaging
Any product that exhibits physical damage
Any product for which you have submitted a mail-in rebate
Refund Payment Method
For credit/debit card purchases, we will refund back to the same credit/debit card only.
For check or cash purchases, we will certify mail a company refund check within 5 business days. This means you will have to sign for it as proof it was delivered.

"Your PCMD" services residential and commercial businesses for IT support and computer services with no travel fee within 15 miles of our base location. If you are outside of this area, we can still service your location with IT support and computer services for a nominal travel fee (See Terms).
